Classic Little Axe albums pressed on vinyl for the first time.
24.09.2025On-U Sound are pleased to present first time vinyl editions of two classic albums by the legendary guitarist, songwriter, and producer Little Axe (aka Skip McDonald).
Hard Grind (2002), and If You Want Loyalty, Buy A Dog (2011) will both be released on vinyl for the first time on Friday 24th October 2025.
Skip McDonald is a legendary figure in the world of blues, dub, and alternative music, most notably as a member of The Sugarhill Gang, Tackhead, and more, as well as being the musical arranger on a large swathe of the On-U Sound back catalogue.
Both albums were produced by Adrian Sherwood and previously never released on vinyl until now. The original artwork by Frédéric Voisin and Chris Bigg has been restored and adapted for vinyl by Jools at White Fox Studios.
This pair of releases have been edited for vinyl by Sherwood and cut by Frank Merritt at The Carvery studios for maximum audio quality.
